Five Contemporary Poets: a literature course with Professor Brian Crawford

Tuesday evenings: 4 March - 1 April 2025

In this course we will examine the work of five contemporary U.S. American poets whose recent publications have gained much attention.  Students registering for this course need not have any prior knowledge of poetry, and experienced readers of poetry are welcome.  From March 4th to April 1st, we will meet each Tuesday from 7:00 – 9:15 pm in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg district.  We will read poems from recent publications by Kaveh Akbar, Terrance Hayes, Ada Limón, Mary Ruefle, and Diane Seuss.
